The Hofmann LKW range represents Hofmann’s highest-capacity marking solution: individually engineered truck-mounted road marking systems built to meet the national, climatic, and technical requirements of each specific project and customer. Unlike standard self-propelled machines, every LKW unit is developed in close collaboration with the buyer, resulting in a bespoke vehicle rather than a series product. They are deployed on major highway networks, international airports, and large-scale infrastructure projects where the output demands of conventional marking machines would be insufficient.

Truck models span the H36, H37, H60, and Hofmann LKW H75 designations, covering a wide spectrum of configurations from compact cold paint airless trucks to multi-system thermoplastic combination vehicles. Material tank capacities vary enormously depending on configuration — documented examples include dual 1,200-litre cold paint tanks (H36-2400P), four 1,250-litre exchangeable containers for combined cold paint and 2K cold spray plastics (H37-5000P), and single 2,500-litre sprayable thermoplastic tanks (H75-2500P). Compressed air output reaches up to 5,400 litres per minute, and pressurised bead tanks start from 350 litres. Marking units are typically fitted on both sides of the vehicle for simultaneous bilateral operation.

The H75 series in particular supports on-board thermoplastic cookers with capacities of up to 2 × 1,100 litres, enabling fully self-contained material melting and marking in a single vehicle. More advanced configurations include on-board crane systems for self-loading, 360° camera surveillance, and material transfer pump systems. All five Hofmann application technologies are supported — cold paints, 2K cold plastics, sprayable 2K cold plastics, thermoplastics, and sprayable thermoplastics — with the AMAKOS® distance-proportional dosing pump available across all spraying variants.

Leader Infra offers the Hofmann LKW range for customers requiring the highest-output marking solutions available in the Hofmann portfolio. These vehicles have been deployed internationally at major airports including Hong Kong, Rome, and Ramstein Air Base in Germany, as well as on national road networks across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Each vehicle is developed jointly with the customer to reflect local regulatory standards, road marking specifications, and site operating conditions.

FAQ — What is the difference between the H36/H37 and H75 truck series? The H36 and H37 designations typically refer to smaller truck-based systems focused on cold paint and cold plastic applications, with tank volumes from around 500 to 2,400 litres. The H75 series covers larger, heavier trucks often configured for thermoplastic applications, with on-board cooker systems, higher tank capacities reaching 4,000 litres or more, and options for self-loading cranes and bilateral multi-system marking — making them suited to the most demanding long-distance highway programmes.
